Rita Aoki
Data Lead
Rita Aoki runs the Collective Page test lab in Mexico City and designed our speed-test protocol. Over eight years she's led 12-week field studies and collected 1,144 active measurements across urban and rural sites. She reverse-engineered three carrier apps to cross-check reported throughput and wrote the statistical scripts for our confidence-interval and bias corrections. Her work appears on 86 Collective Page analyses and in two peer-reviewed conference papers. She focuses on reproducible measurement, small-sample inference, and test-lab operations.
Rita runs the lab hardware, writes the test scripts, and cleans the raw data before analysis. She schedules and monitors 12-week test runs, validates device firmware, and compares app-reported speeds against packet captures. She builds the statistical models, calculates margins of error, documents limitations, and signs off on the final datasets used in our benchmark tables.
